Ishaa Koppikar has been signed to play the role of a courtesan in yet to be titled film, is based on a popular novel Sanyasi Aur Sundari set in the Ashoka era, by Kalpana Lajmi. Just this month Umrao Jaan was released in which Aishwarya Rai played the role of a courtesan.
