Rani Mukherjee Losses Land

The Maharashtra government took over the land Rani Mukherjee had purchased near Shirdi after the official determined that the purchase was illegal. Rani has paid Rs 33 lakh in December 2005 for the land, but the land could not be transferred to her name as it was owned by the government and leased out to a farmer.
