Katrina Kaif has come a long way over the last couple of years. She has provided back to back movie hits and is looking for a great 2008 with the release of Singh Is Kinng (2008) on August 8, 2008 and then Yuvraaj (2008) on October 24, 2008. Katrina was recently in the news for a rift that has occured on her birthday party between her boyfriend Salman Khan and king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan . She now has been signed by jewellery brand Nakshatra Diamonds to endorse the product which was previous being endorsed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan .

Michelle Sung Wie Skips A Major

Michelle Sung Wie skipped playing in a major so she could play on the PGA Tour this week. Wie was listed in qualifying for the Women’s British Open at Sunningdale, buy choose not to participate. Wei is currently managed by her her parents. Just recently Michelle Wie was disqualified at the LPGA's State Farm Classic when she left the scoring area without signing her card. So people are now questing why Wei would choose to play at the PGA Tour over playing in the Women’s British Open.

TV Reality show, Star Voice of India, winner Ishmeet Singh passed away Tuesday apparently by drowning in a hotel swimming pool in the Maldives. He was in the Maldives to sing at a musical concert on Friday. Ishmeet had been in the shallow pool meant for children but later jumped into the deep end of the main swimming pool and had immediately run into difficulty.
The question in everyone's mind is that how come no one was to recuse him?

Yet another search engine has been launched to compete for your searches. Online ad revenues is huge with a big marketplace and hence everyone wants the piece of the pie. Now, a group of former Google employees have launched to compete against their previous employer. The new search engine called Cuil , which is pronounced 'cool', claims to provide a more comprehensive guide to the web. Cuil claims to have indexed more then 120 billion web pages with which they have to search against to provide better results in a new way. Now online time will tell if Cuil will overcome Google, or maybe can instead overcome Yahoo and MSN?.

Shilpa Shetty Could Host Season 2 Of Big Boss

Shilpa Shetty the winner of the Big Brother UK, may be offered to host the next season of Bigg Boss 2 in India. Bigg Boss was last year hosted by Arshad Warsi. If Shilpa chooses to host the show, she could be paid more then Rs 8 Crores. Bigg Boss (India) will start after Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi, , hosted by Akshay Kumar , ends in August 2008. The new season of Bigg Boss will air on newly launched channel, Colors.

After eight bombs exploded in quick succession in the city of Bangalore yesterday, today the city of Ahmedabad awoke up in early morning confronted with bomb blasts around the city. At least four bombs exploded in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad killing many people and injuring a lot more. The bomb blast were in crowded old city dominated by its Muslim community. Two blast happended near Maninagar, constituency of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Stays In Toronto

During the recent The Unforgettable Tour in Toronto, it was confirmed that the Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stayed at the Federer Suite in Hilton Toronto from July 16 to July 19. Tennis star Roger Federer had arrived in Toronto for the Rogers Cup and upon his checkin to the Hilton, was denied his favourite suite since it was already allocated to the Bachchans and hence Roger Federer had to spend a night in another suite in the hotel.

Sony Corp: has announced the availibility of a new multimedia notebook notebook. The new Vaio FW notebook, is also the first 16.4 inch laptop to hit the market and promises to enable consumers to view High Definition, Blu ray Disc, movies in a manner they are meant to be seen. The notebooks LCD is constructed with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is standard used while shooting HD movies. The notebook will be powered by new Intel Centrino 2 technology, with more energy efficiency and performance, along with a HDMI output connector to allow users to connect the laptop to the TV for viewing watch movies on a television set. The packaged Vaio Media software is DLNA enabled and hence allows users to wirelessly stream content stored on laptop throughout their home network. Other features include multiple ports and jacks including Memory Stick media/SD card slot, three USB ports, an i.Link Ieee-1394 port, microphone and headphone jack, and a 34mm ExpressCard slot. The Vaio FW notebook is an eco-friendly product with Energy Star 4.0 compliant. The retail unit will start at $1,000 with the premium edition going upto $1,750.

Mumbai , India has reported cases of Malaria. The death toll from Malaria has been increasing over the past couple of days. More then 9 people have died over the last week because of Malaria. During a survey of F South and North wards, around 100 mosquito breeding spots were discovered. Lot of nearby construction sites have been found with water stagnation which is a breeding ground for mosquitos.

Which forces Batman to create a new suit of armor. Upon capture of mobster accountant, Lau, the mob hires Joker to killing Batman. Upon which the Jokers starts to kill innocent people every day until Batman turns himself in. During the climax, Batman tricks the Joker and he is captured but then he reveals that the Rachel and Dent have been captured by Jokers partners and they will be killed. The rest you will have to go see at the movies to find out what happens next. Movie Review: The movie is very well written, acted and directed. It is one of the best movie to come to town in a while. The movie runs 2.5 hours with great special effect and acting. Heath Ledger deserves an Oscar for his role of the Joker. The movie has a lot of twist and turns and a surprise ending. :

Nintendo announced that it will release the Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii before the end of the year. It will also be release Wii Speak, a microphone that sits on top of the sensor bar that can be used to talk to other people over the internet and for online games. Wii has made a ahead into the market with the introduction of the Wii console with the wireless motion sensing remote controls and has taken over the market share away from Sony PS3 and MicroSoft X360.

Katrina Kaif on the cover of Kohl

When Katrina Kaif first entered Bollywood, she has had limited success because her Hindi not being fluent. But it seems she has been able to overcome that by giving multiple back to back hits like Namaste London (2007) , Apne (2007) , Welcome (2007) , Race (2008) and next week will mark another big release for her in Singh Is Kinng (2008) . Now jeweler Damas has designed a cover for Kohl magazine that will feature Katrina Kaif along with in 91 grams of gold and encrusted with 622 diamonds for a special edition front cover. The cover featuring Indian actress Katrina will be valued at more than US$ 10,000 and will be auctioned for the Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre ( Dubai ) in October 2008. The photograph was shot by famous celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker. Kohl is a newly launched ITP Lifestyle magazine catering to Asian women.

Angelina Jolie Give Birth To Twins, Knox and Vivienne

On Saturday, July 12, 2008, Angelina Jolie gave birth to twin at the Lenval hospital in Nice, France. A boy and a girl were born after a scheduled caesarean section. The boy was named Knox Leon Jolie Pitt and the girl was named Vivienne Marcheline Jolie Pitt. Vivienne is the French version of the ancient Latin name that means alive. The twins, the mother and proud papa, Brad Pitt, are in good health and all are doing fine. Jolie was just recently seen in movie, Wanted.

Anheuser Busch, U.S. brewer, has agreed to be bought by Belgium based InBev for a higher price of $52 billion after a month long standoff between the two. This will create the world's largest beer maker. InBev maker of Stella Artois and Beck's, will pay $70 per share for maker of Budweiser.

Shahrukh Khan launchs his own tour which has already begun in June 2008 and will continue thru the summer. Now two of Bollywood's star will be on tour at the same time. The Bachchan's Unforgettable World Tour, which is suppose to star in July 2008 will have to go against the king of Bollywood, SRK , who has already had a great show in Ahoy, Rotterdam, Holland. The Temptation Reloaded 2008 Tour, will feature Shahrukh Khan himself, along with Kareena Kapoor , Katrina Kaif , Ganesh Hedge, Arjun Rampal , Anuska Dandekar, and Javed Ali.

Today, the new iPhone was launched by Apple Inc. worldwide. With AT T as the exclusive carrier of the service for the iPhone. Lines were being formed outside the apple story from last night. The new iPhone 3G adds some nice new features along with the lower price (thanks to subsidies by the carrier) of $199, but now AT T will require the phone activation in the store vs at home. In Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, Apple's flagship store, customer had to wait more then 20 minutes to get the new iPhone activated because of some problem with the activation process. iPhone also had good sales in Japan, France, New Zealand, and Germany.

An Abu Dhabi Investment Council, based in Abu Dhabi has bought the Chrysler Building, New York's best known skyscrapers, for 800 million dollars. The 77 story Art Deco skyscraper is located in Midtown Manhattan opposite Grand Central station. The The Chrysler Building was designed by the architect William Van Alen and built between 1928 and 1930. The building was declared a historic monument in 1976 and was built for the Chrysler car company. The fund has over 800 billion dollars of assets and has also recently made a 7.5 billion dollar investment in Citigroup. Many Middle East nations have great access to capital from their oil profit and hence are looking for real estate assets overseas. Just last month, General Motors building located on Fifth Avenue was bought by Investors from Dubai , Kuwait and Qatar for 2.8 billion dollars.

The distributor will follow up their previous successful movie releases like Jab We Met (2007) , Golmaal (2007) , and Bhagambhag with some movies in a different genre then before, which will include suspense thrillers, comedies and action films. First in the lineup will be a movie based on a popular Paresh Rawal's Gujarati play, Maharathis (2008) . A suspense thriller by Shivam Nair's and will star Naseeruddin Shah , Om Puri, Boman Iraani, Paresh Rawal, Tara Sharma and Neha Dhupia . Then it will action packed movie Kidnap (2008) directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and starring Sanjay Dutt , Minissha Lamba , Vidya Malvade, Rahul Dev and Imran Khan . The Indian festive season of Diwali will bring the return of a prior successful movie, Golmaal Fun Unlimited (2006) , with a sequal called Golmaal Returns (2008) starring Ajay Devgan , Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kareena Kapoor , Celina Jaitley , Amrita Arora and Anjana Sukhani under the direction of Rohit Shetty. Shilpa Shetty has turned into an entrepreneur by setting up her won production company named, Shilpa Shetty Global Productions. The first movie to be produced by the new production house will be the film named VIP (2008) , which will also be co produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Manish Jha. The movie will star Shilpa herself, along with Bipasha Basu. While Shilpa’s sister, Shamita Shetty , will not be seen on the screen in the movie but will play key role behind the scene as she is the creative producer for the film.

First cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh came on the show, then just last week it was Aamir Khan and Imran Khan to promote their upcoming movie, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) and now news has it that king khan, Shahrukh Khan will be coming on the show as a guest whom himself is a host of a game show, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain which has received competition from Salman Khan 's Dus Ka Dum.

Lara Dutta Busy On Location In Bahamas

Before it was Kareena Kapoor dieting and exercising to get ready for a role in Tashan and now it's Lara Dutta . Lara will need to were a bikini in her upcoming movie, Blue (2008) , and hence she is in the process of controlling her diet and gearing up on exercises to get in better shape for her time in front of the camera. Lara, former Miss Universe (2000), will be starring as an underwater diver opposite Akshay Kumar in the movie and have also already lost weight for the movie. Other movie that Lara has in her bag is Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai (2008) which is inspired by My Cousin Vinny.
