Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, could make sure Bollywood comeback with the Indian version of Rebecca. Since giving birth to her first child, Aish has been taking it easy. Rebecca the novel is about a newly married woman who is constantly compared to the first wife of her husband by the housekeeper. Director Mani Ratnam is adapting the novel to a screen play. Ash started off her Bollywood career with Mani Ratnam with Iruvar in 1997. Aishwarya was also recently appointed as the international Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS. She was recently in New York City at a UN function where she met US Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton, Hollywood actors Michael Douglas, Forest Whitaker, Naomi Watts and former basketball player Shaquille O'Neal. International supermodel Christy Turlington, also met Ash at a dinner hosted by the UN Secretary General at the Museum Of Modern Art.
