Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal during the 2008 Summer Olympics for 10 meter air rifle event. This also marked the first ever individual Olympic gold medal for India in 108 years. India last won a gold during the 1980 Olympic Games for Hockey. Now it will be Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal turns to go for the gold. Saina Nehwal stunned fourth seed Chen Wang of Hong Kong to move into the quarter finals of the women's singles badminton.
