Mitsubishi Digital Electronics announced the availability of the world's first, laser powered television. The Mitsubishi LaserVue 65 inch model will be sold for $6999 at specialty retailers across the US. The LaserVue line has been introduced as the most energy efficient large format, high definition television on the market today. LaserVue promises to provide two times the color of many of today's HDTVs and will use less power than LCD and plasma TVs. The LaserVue TV is designed for both wall mount as well as floor stand with a full stereo range of sound capabilities with integrated speakers. Mitsubishi L65A90 LaserVue is offered with a 65 inch screen diagonal with a 73 inch model to be coming later this year. The LaserVue works with a resolution of 1080p and is equipped with 4 HDMI connections.

Spicy Indian Chicken Curry:

Prep Time	Cook Time	Ready In	Servings
15 Mins	1 Hr	1 Hr 15 Min	4

Ingredients:

• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
• 1 large white onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
• 2 tablespoons curry powder
• 1/2 (2 inch) stick cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
• 8 pods whole green cardamom pods
• 4 bay leaves
• 6 whole cloves
• 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
• 15 whole black peppercorns
• 2 teaspoons coriander seeds

Direction:
Heat oil in a small pot over medium heat.
Add chicken, onion, and ginger garlic paste.
Season with curry powder, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, bay leaves, cloves, red pepper flakes, black peppercorns, and coriander seeds.
Cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
At this point, gravy will be runny; if you want to thicken, remove lid, and cook until liquid is reduced.

The New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on October 6 had surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL. A follow on surgery was performed this week becuase of some infection had developed. Brady who had a great 2007 season by throwing a single season record 50 touchdowns suffered torn ACL and MCL in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 7.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo hurt his little finger during the overtime against Arizona on Oct. 12 will be out till mid November. Romo will miss the Sunday game at Tampa Bay and the following week at the rival New York Giants and hopes to return after a bye week against Washington on Nov. 16.

Ekta Kapoor's much popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has received notice from Star TV that the show much conclude by November 10. The shows producers Balaji Telefilms has taken the matter to court siting that such a cancelation is a breach of contract.

Celina Jaitley former Miss India and Bollywood actress has been signed to appear opposite Oscar winner Sean Connery and Orlando Bloom in an international project based on "Arabian Nights". The film Quest of Sheherzade will start to shot in January. Celina next release is going to be Golmaal Returns (2008) October 24, 2008.

Tonight was the start of the Indian Idol 4 with as usual the girls were on deck first to sing the best they could. This year hopefully one of the girl can make it to the end. There are some hopefulls that can and should last until the end. Following is the list of the top 15 girls for this year: Nirali Fozdar, Pooja Ghosh, Tullika Ganguly, Shini Kalvint, Sreejita Kar, Raina Lahiri, A nanya Mishra, Priyanka Negi, Akanksha Palkar, Bhavya Pandit, Sunaikshi Raina, Torsha Sarkar, Megha Sharma, Sourabhee, Purnima Vishwanathan.

Amitabh Bachchan Released From Hospital

Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from Mumbai 's Leelavati Hospital after being in the hospital for about a week for abdominal pains. It so happended that the day he was admitted to the hospital the superstar was celebrating his 66th birthday. He was accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda. This will bring a big relif to thousands of his fans across the country who had been praying for a speedy recovery for Mr. Bachchan.
Now it seems that Aishwarya's father Krishna Raj Rai has also being admitted to the hospital. Her father had been diagnosed with cancer last year and is undergoing cancer treatment at Hinduja hospital.

Temptation Reloaded 2008 In Germany Cancelled

Shahrukh Khan has decided to cancel the Temptation Reloaded 2008 tour which was suppose to start this week. The tour was being promoted in Germany by SensAsian Media Ltd, who are a little bitter about the last minute cancellation. The tour has also been cancelled for Spain. The tour had some great success back in 2005. The tour was going to feature stars from Indian cinema like Aamir Khan , Priyanka Chopra , Malaika Arora , and Arjun Rampal . Comedian Kaya Yanar will also be part of the tour.

Last week was one of the worst week in the history of US financial markets with the Dow, SP and Nasdaq lossing a lot of ground, but today, the markets seems to have turned a corner with biggest point gain ever for the Dow. The Dow surged 936 points (11%), SP added 11.7%, Nasdaq added 11.8%. Has investors looked for bargins or bet that the worst of the credit crisis is over. We will have to wait to see if this is the start of a Bull market or just a one day shot up.

Shahrukh Khan Boulevard in Dubai

Over the weekend, Shahrukh Khan (SRK) announced that he has teamed up with a United Arab Emirates (UAE) real estate firm to build a signature beachfront residential project in the gulf country with a budget of 2.17 billion dollars (USD). The project will be located on the Dana Island in Ras Al Khaimah. Shahrukh will work with a Los Angeles based architect Tony Ashai during the design of the beachfront community comprising 10 residential towers along with specially designed studios, and one and two bedroom apartments and townhouses, piers and boardwalks besides marine sports and leisure facilities. The project is scheduled to complete in 2012.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly surprised everyone in the cricket world by announcing his retirement after the four Test cricket series against Australia at a press conference in Bangalore . Ganguly was a surprise addition to the first two Tests after being ignored for the five-day domestic Irani Cup last month. Now the others in the club known as the 'fab five' will be thinking about retiring? The 'fab five' includes Sachin Tendulkar (35), skipper Anil Kumble , Rahul Dravid (35) and Venkatsai Laxman (33).

Tata Motors announced that the new home of the Nano will be Sanand in Gujarat. Many local governments were interested in hosting the plant, but after reviewing the offer from the Gujarat Government it was decided that it offered the the best option for the project. The plant will require about 1100 acres and will produce 250,000 cars per annum and will be expanded up to 500,000 cars per annum. Until the Sanand plant’s completion, Tata Motors will have to look at existing facilities at Pune and Pantnagar to manufacture the Nano, and plans to launch the car in the last quarter of this financial year.

Hrithik Roshan And Kangna Ranaut Shoot In Las Vegas

Hrithik Roshan is currently in the US shooting for his next movie, Kites (2009). The shooting is currently being finished up in Las Vegas, USA and then will wrap up in LA. The movie also stars Kangna Ranaut opposite Hrithik and is being directed by Anurag Basu. Kangna has previously worked with Anurag during Gangster and Metro and came with high recommendation to the Roshans for this movie. During the shoot, Hrithik filmed a sensuous scene with Mori for which Hrithik asked his dad to Rakesh Roshan to leave the set for the take.
