IIFA Awards 2009 In Macau, June 11, 12 and 13 Date: 05/02/2009:
The 10th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards will be held at Venetian Resort in Macau, special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Announcement was made at a press conference in Mumbai on Tuesday evening attended by IIFA brand ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan and government representatives of Macau. Some of the nominations include for:
Best Film: A Wednesday , Dostana (2008) , Ghajini Remake (2008) , Race (2008) , Rock On (2008) .
For Best Director: A R Murugadoss : Ghajini, Madhur Bhandarkar: Fashion, Abhishek Kapoor: Rock On, Ashutosh Gowariker : Jodhaa Akbar, Neeraj Pandey: A Wednesday.
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Male, Aamir Khan : Ghajini, Abhishek Bachchan : Dostana, Hrithik Roshan : Jodhaa Akbar, Naseeruddin Shah: A Wednesday, Shahrukh Khan : Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (RNBDJ) (2008) .
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Female, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan : Jodhaa Akbar, Asin: Ghajini, Bipasha Basu : Race, Katrina Kaif : Singh Is Kinng (2008) , Priyanka Chopra : Fashion (2008) .
Best Music: AR Rahman : Jodhaa Akbar, A.R.Rahman: Ghajini, Pritam : Race, Shankar Ehsaan Loy: Rock On, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani: Dostana.
