Delhi 6 Going To The Oscar?
Date: 07/28/2009:
Delhi 6, Dilli 6 (2008) starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan has been submitted by director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to the Indian Motion Pictures' Producers Association (IMPPA) to be sent to the Film Federation of India for sending it as India's entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards. In order for a film to qualify, it should have been released or should be releasing between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009 and should have run for seven consecutive days at least.

Aishwarya Rai Takes Karate Lessons

In order to get ready for some action scene in her upcoming movie Enthiram (2009) , Aishwarya Rai has been taking Karate lessons. The movie also stars veteran actor Rajnikanth and the movie will have him and Aishwarya in a elaborate action sequence and hence Aish is taking the Karate lessons. The rumers has it that Ash is taking the lessons from seasoned stuntman down south named Ramesh, who run the karate school in Chennai.

Aamir Khan And Katrina Kaif To Star In Movie Together

Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif has signed a film together to recreate the magic of Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. The duo of Aamir and Katrian will be seen in a biopic of Guru Dutt being directed by Rakesh Om Prakesh Mehra. The will be on the life and love of Guru Dutt and has yet to be titled and the film is scheduled to start shooting in October 2009.

Sania Mirza Back Practicing After Engagement
07/13/2009:
Couple of days after her engagement to her childhood friend and businessman Sohrab Mirza, Sania Mirza was back at the stadium in Hyderabad to practice tennis. Sania was wearing an engagement ring on her henna filled hands. Her fiance was sitting and watching her at the Lal Bahadur Stadium. Sania will be leaving soon for the hard court season on July 16, which starts with Lexington Open followed by Stanford Cup, Vancouver and the Bronx and then she will take part in the U.S. Open Tennis Championship in August 2009.

Heavy rains in Mumbai over the last couple of days have brought the city to a crawl. With standing water in many places, the traffic snarls at various places, the Mumbai International Airport authorized reporting visibility of just 800 feet this morning, suburban trains were also running late with low lying areas including King's circle, Sion, Andheri Milan subway, Hind Mata were inundated.

Bollywood Couple Abhishek And Aishwarya Bachchan Asked To Help PETA

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were approached by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for a photo shoot with lovebirds to bring awareness about the plight of lovebirds. Lovebirds are small members of the parrot family.
