Katrina Kaif is an Indian actress. Katrina has acted in Bollywood, Telugu and Malayalam movies. Katrina was born in Hong Kong. Her father is Kashmiri and mother is British. She has eight siblings, seven are sisters and one brother. She started her career as a model in London and starred in Bollywood movie, Boom in 2003. She made her Bollywood impact by starring in 2005 film Sarkar, playing the role of Abhishek Bachchan's love interest in the movie. Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif has signed a film together to recreate the magic of Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. The duo of Aamir and Katrian will be seen in a biopic of Guru Dutt being directed by Rakesh Om Prakesh Mehra. The will be on the life and love of Guru Dutt and has yet to be titled and the film is scheduled to start shooting in October 2009.

In an recent survey by Hansa Research, Indian film actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came out to be most powerful female actor in India, ahead of Priyanka Chopra , Katrina Kaif and even Madhuri Dixit . Aishwarya was at par with cinematic legends like Amitabh Bachchan and cricketing star Sachin Tendulkar and was the only female who is part of the top 10 recognized celebrities from all walks of life. The survey also pointed out that Aishwarya is one of the most popular faces among classes as well as the masses.
Barbie Doll To Be Modelled After Katrina Kaif

Initially Mattel Toys (India) wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be the face of Barbie Doll for India, but due to lack of available time for Aishwarya, Katrina Kaif is now all set to be the face of Barbie Doll in India. This will be the first time a Barbie inspired from an Indian actress would hit the market shelves and put Katrina in the league of Hollywood celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Beyonce Knowles and Cher for whom such a Barbie has already be designed. Katrina was recently seen walking the ramp, at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, dolled up as a Barbie. The rumor is that a new series of ‘Katrina Barbie’ in a small pink dress will reportedly hit the market in September 2009.

Britney Spears made a reappearance on the list at position 90. While Grey's Anatomy Katherine Heigl dropped from number one in 2008 to number 81 for 2009, while Anne Hathaway jumped 58 to no. 5. Eva Mendes won the honors of being number 01, with Megan Fox taking the second stop folloed by Marisa Miller in third. From Bollywood it was first timer Katrina Kaif at number 48 while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ended up at 60th place in 2009, but was no. 27 in 2008.
