2011 ICC Cricket World Cup

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup and will be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries: India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. This will be the first time that Bangladesh has cohosted a Cricket World Cup. The World Cup will use cricket's One Day International format. Fourteen national cricket teams will participate in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. The teams in Group A are Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya. The teams in Group B are India, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland, and Netherlands. The World Cup will be played from 19 February 2011 and 2 April 2011, The opening ceremony will be held on 17 February 2011, two days before the start of the tournament, with the final on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Stumpy is the official mascot for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. The official song of the 2011 World Cup is "De Ghuma Ke" which is composed by the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Loy, and is sung in Hindi, Bangla and Sinhala. The official event ambassador for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup is Sachin Tendulkar . The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will b shown on Willow Cricket, DirecTV, Dish Network within the USA.
