Jodha Akbar is a very well directed period movie. We really appreciate Hrithik for his perfomance as Akbar. He has done 100% justice to his role. we can really see Ashutosh Gowariker's attention to detail that turned this subject into almost an epic movie. We congratulate all artist involved in making Jodha Akbar.

as, ashutosh gowarikar is known 4 his class...dis time also he in his job 2 maintain it...jodha akbar is yet another classy flick by ashutosh.everythin is alrite in the movie like screenplay,music, perfomance,lyrisc,entertainment everythin is der....length may be a factor dat may affect da film....but da film is enjoyable.****

this movie is below avg ..its a long movie of 3:30hrs... first half makes us completely sick.. but the second half is some wat better... the movie over all a below avg. film.... but the locations and the two stars did a great job

Well aishwaria does no justice to the role, she was appalling.
i think priety zinta would have been ideal.
Apart from screenplay which was mediocre, distorted story which was stolen from history text books, and direction which was average, and flawed starcast and boring music, was a gud movie [:D]

Really looking forward to this epic. Some of my friends had seen it and their feedback was good

As my neighbour priti said its a boring movie so i didn't go to watch d movie and same expect from u.

Jodha Akbar is an excellent story scripted by aushu lot of thinking has gone in making a great movie, as the bold step taken by the father of Jodha is great as he decided to get jodha marry to akbar as a king (Jodha's father) he knows that the decision taken by him is not good w.r.t caste but as a king he has to only think about his people and the peace of kingdom and he was not supported by other kings because of their own reasons,which is fine and the other end akbar was shocked by the idea from king of him being tieing a knot to jodha later he takes the decision as god's suggestion for the betterment of the Kingdom.

Great movie to watch as jodha has accpected the decision to marry akbar to help the kingdom by not thinking for her self,jodha is a great mallika of hindustan with self respect and lot values.

That 's the reason we give women lot of respect and no 1 position for doing any rectuals,she is the one who builds the home and indirectly the country.

Great movie to watch.

DISGUSTING!!! is one word for it ...
complete wrong potrayal of the rajputs (they are mostly shown standing like beggars in fornt of akbar)the movie is the biggest flop of this year ... ash looks old and cannot carry the art of being a newly-wed anymore ...she does not look simple but at the same time is trying to potray a simpleton image .. falling flat on her face ....
war-scenes are humilating to the senses as many are with corposes with any blood or wound-marks... (what was he trying to do .. save money over some paint)
Rajput-wife of akbar was his third wife and not first as shown in the movie...
and she did not cook herself for the entire mazdoors(servants)in the entire fort...
and if this is as said by hritik (his interpretation of akbar)then we must remind him .. akbar is the property of history .. and history is based on facts .. he is not a history student to give his interpretation of a world-famous image ... and nor is his interpretation based on facts ..
ash says in an interviwe in ibn cnn .. that "there must hav been love between husband and wife" darling how many marriages that you hav seen in indian-royalty that are love-based ... is she dumb or what .. duh!!!

This movie is just amazingu really , a master piece. It is best ever made in bollywood after lagaan just amazing. It is 10000000000 times better than any of shahrukh movies. I pity indians who think shahrukh is the best. he doesn't knpow how to act even, N Om shanti Om was the most pathetic movie ever made in bollywood.get over shahrukh we have got much actors than shahrukh in industry. Krithik and aamir are the best. JA is awesome. f you don't watch it you will miss the real good movie.

JA is an intelligent, highly entertaining piece of work which completely envelopes you. A must see among the current bubble gum pop that's out there, a la Om shanti Om. Besides near-perfect, subtle acting, the visuals are outstanding, costuming and overall appreciation of our heritage, it willl entertain both men and women alike.

Jodha akbar, disappointment becoz not expected this crap from Ashutosh Gowarkar. Why these ppl make masal out of history. Why these ppl have notion that GenX wants drana, grand love story? No we want fatcs, handled in real way, no chiffon glory. Why they manupulate the facts to make a bollywood love story. Not expected from Gawariker.

After a long time I was caught up in the magic of movies. It was so beautiful, Hrithik was incredible as Akbar, of course Ashwariya was very beautiful and did a fantastic job. However I felt Hrithik was the real star of the movie. No one could have played Akbar as Hrithik, he did real justice to his character.

Jodhaa Akbar is the best movie. The dresses were MARVELOUS and FANTASTIC. I loved Hrithik and Ashwariyaa from before now I have no words to say about their acting. It felt like someone was spying on them and took the video. It felt like as if it was happening in real life. Hrithik nobody could take Akbar's place than you can. Ashwariyaa you were the most beautiful woman in this world. The music and everything was wonderful.
You all get 1000 out of 1000. You guys were splended. Your acting was the best too. I wish you guys would do many other movies like this. You guys look nice together. You guys are jodi no. 1. I love you guys i wish to see you and be with you .

i like jodha akbar very much specially its 2nd half.. n give a suggestion that everyone should watch it. Movie is excellent. Hrithik has done excellent, i think no other actor could do better than him.

We saw this movie. It is realy a nice movie, well directed and realy well played by all the characters. Forget about story but a must watch movie.

amazing performance by Hrithik..all his movements, dialogues, and acts actually look and feel royal...great job..Aoshwarya did a great job too..and they looked so good together..and of course great direction, cinematography, and music...a must see..this movie can be better appreciated if it is watched in theatre..

Too long and gets very boring in between places. It would have been more tolerable had it been shorter. Hirthik didnt do justice to his role. Ash was also lacklustre. I wouldnt want to watch it in theatre again.

The Movie was awesome...I think they should have done more publicity about movie before release... I'm in US and i see trend in India that whoever do more publicity before release those movies are more successful even though movies are not as good. Such as Om Shanti Om. Farah Khan did great job in publicity....every reality shows, news channel there was Om shanti Om before release. Movie was piece of junk. Except SRk 6 pack movie was way below Srk's movie. BUt it did great job on box office because of publicity. I think Jodhaa Akbar should have been biggest movie of the decade if they know how to sell movies.......

The Songz were not worth listening to. I think the older ppl get they lose their charm.
Ash has a stiff appearance she is not flexible. She looks v artificial.Her contact lenses r very evident and her false eye lashes. But rithik looks natural with the amke up being barely minimum.The Movie was prolonged, exaggerated. I bet the Real Akbar would have died of heart attack if he had been shown how this movie on him had been made.

Jodha-AKBAR is the best movie of the Deacade & Definately one of the best historical movies ever made
HRITHIK has given d best performance of his career, just see the he way delivers those heavy Urdu dialogues with amazing ease (it should be noted he had stammering problem in his younger days).
No wonder his chemistry (or biology) with Aishwarya is so amazing

Ash has to go for "Plastic Surgery" for her thick bulbous lips that resemble Whoopie Goldberg's Lips. Her Artificial Contact Lenses and False extra long eyelashes are too evident and artificial. There are scenes in the movie where she looks as though shez been forced to act. She is flat chested her figure does not even qualify to b that of a woman's LOL!!!As for the movie they should have named it as "Circus by Akbar" What Utter Nonsense imagine ppl with such low level of Iq who can appreciate this rotten immitation of History prolonged and exaggerated in all aspects.

After mesmerizing the audiences with Lagaan and Swades, Ashutosh Gowariker this time chooses a completely different genre to express his cinematic vision .And does he succeed? Well, you would have to commend Gowariker for choosing a subject as cryptic as the love story of Akbar. In an age where historical films have rarely found support and appreciation amongst the masses (cannot remember any film but Mughal-e –Azam), Gowariker decides to tread the path which less able directors would fear to think of. Never mind, the widespread protests in Rajasthan against the authenticity of the love story, Gowariker’s attention to detailing does catch your attention. Gowariker’s vision subsumes a reined-in wealth of ideas and images into an opulent and aesthetic tale of love, ideals and secularism. And that is something to root for in an age of cynicism and religious warfare. It is not often that historical films of this cinematic splendor and caliber are made in India.

It is a fascinating historical fiction on par with any of David Lean's epics of bygone era. Camera work is stunning. Costumes and the music are mesmerising. It is one of the best Hindi movies I have ever see. Can hardly wait for a second dose.

Hrithik and aishwarya have done superp acting. Direction is excellent. Hrithik does not act he lives in a character. some of the other great actors have their own mannerisms by which we can say he is so and so. But Hrithik does not have special mannerisms he lives in a character and molds his ways to suit the character. Jodha Akbar is a 'must watch' film of the decade. congratulations to all the cast and crew.

Jodha Akbar is a fantastic dramatic movie made by Ashutosh which is absolutely amazing! even though i am a 13 year old boy, it was not boring after all. Ashutosh has given total justice to the movie and give it surely a try. you will really love this historical romance!!!

After Mughl-E-Azam another master piece to watch. Those who love to admire art, direction and acting, its a must see. Irshad Ahemed, USA

Apart form the selection of the Name Jodha to refer to Mariam-uz-Zamani née Hira Kunwari the real name of the 3rd wife of Emperor Akbar the great, the rest of the events are on the whole acceptable, though some discrepancies can be found.

But, Jodha Akbar first and foremost is a MOVIE, and was never meant to be a documentary or a docu-drama.

In this perspective it has all the qualities of a good movie. The story line is good and has a philosophical and timely theme. The audio visual sequencing is fantastic.

I for one am glad to see "Bollywood" graduate to finally producing international class movies.

Well u know what its not a documentary its for entertainment ofcorse its just taking the character akhabr and jodha and making them into thier own love strory.. its a damn fiction people dont compare or judge them with the real history..its just a good movie for entertainment not for facts on HISTORY

Jodhaa Akbar was an excellent movie. I saw the movie 4 times and will probably see it agin and again.Hritik's acting was superb, so regal one would think he was Akbar in his previous birth!

jodhaa akbar is the best bollywood film i have ever seen hrithik roshan is the best actor he was awsome as akbar and i see he has won alot of awards for the role but im a really big fan of his i also thought aishwaria was great in the role of johdaa and congrats to ashutosh gowariker's awsome film maureen ireland
